Cypress Creek Church - Default Calendar

The LAF (Loaves and Fishes) Women's Investment Group meets the 2nd Monday of each month at 7:15 p.m. in the Centrum Bride's Room. We meet for fun, fellowship, and education. We study, evaluate, and make investments in the stock market while getting to know each other better, sharing and having fun as we fellowship together. All women are invited to attend.

The Craft Crowd meets every Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. in Room 20/21. This group of women meets together to exercise their creativity and to share with each other the skills they each have. All women are invited to join us for fellowship and crafts. Then, we go to lunch at a local restaurant.

Bunco Buddies meeting on the 4thTuesday of each month in members' homes for prayer, fun, food, beverage, fellowship, and service projects.Bunco is a fast-paced dice game requiring the switching of partners frequently. This provides an opportunity to meet and bond with all members of the group.Bunco Buddies is a wonderful support group and is open to all women.

SOS meets the 3rd Thursday of each month, at 7:00 p.m. With Romans 12:10-13 as our guide, we are spiritual sisters sharing God's unconditional love through fellowship, spiritual development, sisterly love and support. We get together in the evening, sharing a meal, a lesson, friendship and each other's joys and concerns.

Kids need a safe, fun place to go tonight? Youth ages 7-13 will love all the fun activities planned: movies, moon walk, face painting, hula hoop contests, games, music, and all sorts of other fun that hasn't been thought of yet. $10 admission plus a few dollars for snacks and drinks. They'll love it!

Note to Parents: They're in for the duration with great supervision as well as a Harris County Sheriff on duty.

Ladies: Mark your calendar for the Annual Women's Retreat coming on Feb. 18, 2012, held right here in the Forum. Rev. Dr. Judith Allen is the keynote speaker (requested by many of you last year). The message of the Bible is not merely information but "transformation"; therefore the Retreat title is "Be Transformed" from scripture in Romans 12:2.

Join us for an exciting and unique Sunday Worship! Traditional worship starts at 9:30 with the Heart of Worship at 10:00 and Contemporary worship at 10:30 ending at 11:00.

Sunday School Classes bookend the worship with some starting at 8:15 and 8:30 and others at 10:30, 10:40 and 11:00. Check the Adult Education Chart at the kiosk.

For those women of the church who have experienced the loss of a spouse through death or divorce, Sisters at Heart meets on the third Saturday of each month at 1:00 pm in Room 203-204 in the Youth Building.

The 1st Tuesday of each month, at 12:00 Noon, we will meet for lunch at Hasta La Pasta on Cypresswood Drive (by the church and the Court House).

Upcoming Mentoring ProgramUsing the time-proven Faith Partner's Guide (Disciples of Christ Chalice Press), trusted adults are paired with youth for a 7-week program that prepares the way for Baptism and Membership at CCCC. Information sessions are scheduled as follows:

Holy Grounds Coffee Café will be open in the Forum Activity Room every Sunday starting Feb. 5 from 8:00 to 11:00 am. Please come a little early or stay a little later and have breakfast with friends or grab a cup of coffee or juice on your way to Sunday school.
