Seeds of Faith / Small Group Ministry |
Purposeful and powerful “Seeds of Faith” is
Cypress Creek Christian Church’s transformational small group ministry
nurturing our church family in relationships, caring, service, learning and
evangelism leading to spiritual growth as members grow in love for God and one
another.
Cypress Creek is revitalizing the small group
movement within our congregation. Above is our vision statement for the “Seeds
of Faith” program, our small group program. Our basic premise is that God is at
work in our world and wants us to follow His plan for each of us. This plan can
best be experienced and learned through a small group setting. The small groups
must be actively challenging each member to grow in Discipleship and to use the
gifts that God has entrusted to us.
Seeds of Faith Groups shall have five basic
purposes:
1. Relationships/connection
2. Care
3. Service
4. Learning
5. Evangelism
Each group will create its own mission and can
choose to support those missions already outlined by our Outreach Commission.
Each group shall have as a fundamental objective to bring in outside members
and to release new groups, as their present group expands. Each group shall
have a biblically based program with the church staff acting as
resources. Each group shall develop strong relationships among its
members and shall be the primary source of support and care for its members.
We plan to publicize this program and ask for
participants during December and January. If you are already a member of a
small home group, your group will continue. We plan to provide leadership and
structure that will encompass both the new and existing groups.
One of our needs is for leadership of the
groups. Our plan is to provide training for leaders of the groups and then have
at least two (individuals or couples) trained during the month of January. If
you would be interested in learning more about leadership please let us know by

We are excited about revitalizing this ministry
and hope you will participate in a “Seeds of Faith” group. It will change you
and your relationship with the church.
