ECCLESIOLOGICAL ETCHING
January 22, 2022
Cypress Creek Christian Church will officially turn 50 years old on Saturday, March 12. As a community, we will celebrate during worship on March 13. There are other events in the works, including a fun fashion show from each of the decades of the church’s fifty years. There will be numerous fundraisers for the Special Pentecost Offering to support new churches. Some of those fundraisers include bidding on homemade cookies and cakes. There will be a raffle and other opportunities for us to fellowship in gratitude for those 50 years. Psalm 78 speaks of the people remembering God’s wonderful deeds among the people, and the importance of sharing them with the next generation. Though we will have a lot of fun sharing the stories of Cypress Creek, we do so as a reminder of how God was at work then and to make us more aware of how God is at work now.
God of All Generations, our hearts swell with gratitude for all you have done and all you are doing. As we are reminded of what brought us to this moment, let us be aware of the good work today that will inspire future generations. Amen.
