Prayer for the Week: There is often a yearning in our lives that does not comprehend the possibility of appeasement or satisfaction. The craving within our souls is often seeking fulfillment in the very things that will never satisfy. This does not deter or dissuade you, O God, for you are the One who seeks to meet the genuine needs of every single human being. Above all things, you want us to know peace and joy; you want us to experience life-giving friendship; you want us to find reconciliation and healing; you want us to taste and find satisfaction in the banquet of life that is your love. Guide us to our seat at the table where you are the host. Amen.
