Prayer for Discern – Spiritual Gifts
Holy God, help bring my attention to the gifts bestowed and entrusted to me. Let me give ear and heart to the rustling and nudging of your Spirit. You believe in me and have revealed a challenge in the form of a gift. In this moment, I am attentive to the restlessness found within who I am. Because of your love for me and for the world around me, you are gifting me with a holy responsibility—to unwrap the gift given; to embrace its uniqueness; to be aware of your gentle guidance to where it can find full expression. Now meet me in this silence, where I shall reconnect with your limitless and unwavering love, a love that embraces me and then seeks to empower me with a gift… (silence). In your Spirit’s care, I seek to know where I can join others in the realization of your great dream. Amen.
