I desire to be quiet, God
I yearn to know you’re there
To sit with me
and be reminded of
who I am
who you are
and what it means
to live in your love
You are always more willing
to make space and time
than I am to pause and step into it
Yet when I make the time
and move into that space
you are there
to receive me
to embrace me
and to let me know
that I am forever loved
