ECCLESIOLOGICAL ETCHING

Prayer for the Week: I had two people who commented about the opening prayer from Sunday’s worship, and so I am modifying it for today’s Ecclesiological Etching.
Holy and Magnificent God, as we continue to move through the Season of Advent – a time for thoughtful reflection – we find something building within us. There is an anticipatory joy that is expanding within us, stretching the core of our humanity. As we teach children to be patient, there is a part of us wanting to model and hold back, yet the word we are hearing right now is: Joy! We do not wish to restrain it or squelch it in any way. Instead, we plan to join the voices across the earth and across the generations, lifting our words and songs unto you, O Source of our Celebration. May each of us bring all of who we are to this joy-filled moment. Your gift is coming! Hallelujah! Amen.
