Prayer for the Week:
I come asking for your love, Holy One, only to learn that I am loved with a limitless love. I request your mercy, only to discover mercy was offered before I even acknowledged my need for such a gift. I make an appeal for your kindness, yet I discover Jesus has demonstrated a kindness beyond measure and, in doing so, provided a clear reflection of you. I call upon your presence to walk alongside me, and then I’m surprised to learn how your Spirit has been in front of me, beside me, above me, and behind me. There is nowhere I can go where I am not with you. So what petitions do I need to mention in this prayer? You have already provided more than I could ever need or imagine. Maybe the best thing is to simply ask for your help so I can recognize and receive all you have provided. Amen.
