Prayer for the Week: For all those who have been running the good race for the sake of others, we are thankful! O Spirit of Christ, you have been working overtime alongside medical staff, educators, chaplains, folks in the food supply chain and so many others. A great multitude of individuals have given of themselves as a reflection of your great giving of self. Today, there are those who are exhausted physically and emotionally. There are those who have taken very few days off because their skills have been in short supply. Do not allow their heartache, fatigue and frustration to be pushed aside. Give them rest; provide them a listening ear; pour into them your peace; bind up their wounds; be their encourager. May each of them find pride in what has been done, while also acknowledging all that has been sacrificed. We offer our prayerful words in the name of the Living Christ. Amen.
