Scripture
: Colossians 1:7-8
This you learned from Epaphras, our beloved fellow servant. He is a faithful minister of Christ on your behalf, and he has made known to us your love in the Spirit.

Prayer for the Week
: Let us reflect on these words, specifically how the Colossians learned of the grace of God from Epaphras. Let us also ponder those who have introduced us to grace, the limitless love of God. In this time of reflection and prayer, take a moment to return to a specific time in which someone revealed to you the power of grace. Allow yourself to experience again the emotional and physical impact it had upon your life. How might you be a different person because of that experience? With all of that in mind, let us pray…

Holy God, grace is not something you once did, but is who you are. It is one of the words we use to describe the experience of a limitless love that reconciles relationships and binds up our deepest wounds. Your amazing gift has never waited for us to measure up to some predetermined standard. Grace, as it comes from you, finds us and surrounds us wherever we are. It seeks to affirm us, heal us and inspire us to the work of grace. Today, we give thanks for every Epaphras who has shown us your grace. With thankful hearts, we offer this prayer. Amen.
