Prayer for the Week: Holy Inspiration, O Holy Spirit, allow for the life and public witness of Jesus to become for us a model for how we are to live in faith. Provide us with your strength, hope, and visionary promise. These gifts shall dwell deep within us, enabling us both to want and to actually live out the good purposes you have put before us. There is so much need, hurt, fear, and violence around us. Continue to guide us into those situations where we—through your wisdom—can know how to speak and what to speak, while also recognizing the importance of silence when actions are more crucial than words. We offer these requests in the name and to the glory of the one who embodied the sacred message of life, Jesus Christ. Amen.
