Scripture: Ephesians 4:29
Let no evil talk come out of your mouths, but only what is useful for building up, as there is need, so that your words may give grace to those who hear.
Thought for the Day: It is uncertain if the following words should be attributed to George Bernard Shaw or not, but whoever first wrote them offered us some potent advice. The words of which I speak are: “The biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place.” The church staff recently discussed these words and pondered their implication in the life of our church. It is sad to say, but very few congregations do communication well. And even in our tech-savvy world, we still do not do a very good job of keeping people informed. I take some responsibility for that failure and hope to see improvement in this new year, and to that end, I ask your help. Let us make sure we are spending our time sharing relevant information with one another and not simple gossip. Let us speak genuine words of encouragement whenever possible, but when necessary, let us offer a critique with love and an alternative option. In the end, let us put as our goal the building of the community for the sake of our mission.
Prayer: Provide me with words to share, O Source of All Encouragement, so that what I do and what I say my build your church for the purpose servant ministry unto the world. Amen.
THE YOUTH ENJOYING LUNCH TOGETHER

And then after lunch,
the youth came back to the church
and did a little trash pick-up.

They evening picked-up
a dirty diaper from the parking lot.
