A Prayer from the Sunrise Easter Service:
By faith, O God, we see the Easter story—the story of an empty tomb—the story that reflects who you are and what you do. Every tomb, every obstructed path, every moment of despair, every experience of hopelessness does not have the final word, as you are the One who is in the business of rolling stones and making a way out, making a way forward, making an unobstructed path into new possibilities. In a spirit of gratitude, we come together to give thanks for this message, but also for the times and places where you have come alongside us in the work of rolling some stones that have for far too long impeded a life that seeks to be lived in the abundance of your love. This is our prayer in the name of Jesus, who is the source of our Easter joy. Amen.
