Prayer for the Week: The power drops, and the light begins to dim. Give us strength, O God. Create within us resilience for the challenges that come our way. Provide for us a steadfastness, even when it feels as if our failures are causing us to fall back. Exhaustion, on top of sadness, mixed with some negative voices, can drain every ounce of our life energy. Stay close, O God. As hope and joy seem to be drawn from us at a rate faster than anything that might be put back, we turn to you as our Rock and our Redeemer. Renew us in your love that knows no end—a gift by which strength and resilience are delivered beyond measure. This is our prayer, offered through our fatigued voices and lethargic lives. Amen.
