Prayer for the Week:
Spirit of life and love, we pause this day seeking a holy hiatus from the noise around us and the noise within us. Calm us; provide us space for even a momentary respite; remind us of just how loved we are. Continue, Holy God, in the work of connecting us to people who are filled with affirming and life-giving energy. At a time when hateful and life-draining rhetoric is spoken from the very people who should be offering us a clear and alternative vision, it can be challenging to remain positive. Help us hold onto a hope that is an active verb, a promise that you continue to fulfill, despite the forces that seek to disempower and dismiss your dream for this world. This is our request and our deepest and most sacred plea in the name of Jesus. Amen.
