Scripture: 1st Corinthians 3:16
Do you not know that you are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in you?
Thought for the Day: There are those who believe they go to church and there are those who believe they are the church. Church attendance will not transform the world. That’s a frightening statement for a pastor to make, yet I do believe participating in a faith community can better prepare any of us for being the church wherever we might find ourselves. We need to come together to reconnect, be reminded and reengage the faith that will inspire us to be the church when we are on our own.
Prayer: Bring us together, Merciful God, as there is love and joy and strength found within community. Let us have those touch-points where we are formed in the faith, in the likeness of Jesus himself. It is only then that we are the church. Amen.
