Prayer for the Week (handed out in worship): O Source and Center of Life, there are days when I approach you with a weary mind and a burdened heart. I must admit that I often find myself running on empty, constantly chasing the incessant noise of a world that demands my attention, only to realize that it is often nothing more than an empty distraction. You are the wellspring, seeking to quench my thirst. You are life-giving water when I find myself parched and alone. In your immeasurable mercy, you have promised to be there on my journey, whether I feel as if I am on the right path or have wandered off. In love, you chose to dwell among humanity, and in Jesus, I find one who is sustenance for the soul. Yet, if I am to be the person you need me to be, then I need to find nourishment every day. In faith, I claim this gift to be Jesus, in whose name I pray. Amen.
