Scripture: Psalm 16:2
I say to the LORD, “You are my Lord. Apart from you, I have nothing good.”
Thought for the Day: I’ve been wrestling with this passage for a few days. As I read and reflect and read again those 16 words, I find myself asking, “Do you really believe it?” How much of my life is not connected to God, but left alone because I am unconsciously (or maybe consciously) choosing to live my life by my own rules. My prayer alongside this scripture has been a prayer for insight – asking for God to help me see those places where I have become strangely comfortable apart from the One who should be the Source of all aspects of my life.
Prayer: With each day, give me opportunities to bind my life more firmly to you, my Light and my Lord. Amen.
