Thought for the Day: In Session One of our Dare to Dream series, Mike Slaughter talked about discovering our Big Hairy Audacious God-purpose. Dreams, visions, aha moments, prayer, and that still small voice within were a few examples of the thin places within our spirit that The Lord uses to reveal His will. Slaughter’s criteria to discriminate our God-purpose from our own self-centered plans or desires, is both inspiring and handy.

Not only have I memorized this wonderful recipe, I’ve also printed it on my favorite stationary and taped it to my refrigerator as a daily reminder.
Prayer: Glorious God, open my heart to be sensitive to your purpose. As I wake each morning, place these words on my lips… “Here I am, Lord.” And after I speak, make me receptive to your Holy Spirit. In the grace-filled name of Jesus I pray. Amen.
