Scripture: Romans 11:1
I ask, then, has God rejected his people? By no means! I myself am an Israelite, a descendant of Abraham, a member of the tribe of Benjamin.
Thought for the Day: We live in a world where we give a lot of lip service to tolerance, but just how respectful are we of those on the other side of… (fill in the blank). God does not reject those who are different. God does not ignore those who are part of the minority. In fact, God has gifted the world with this diversity to enrich the experience of all. If God does not reject the other, then we should show a willingness to reach out and learn. In doing so, we might learn something about ourselves and about the very nature of God.
Prayer: Through your grace, O God, may my fears of the other diminish and make room for understanding and growth. Amen.
