Scripture: Psalm 30:12 (the Message)
I’m about to burst with song; I can’t keep quiet about you. God, my God, I can’t thank you enough.
Thought for the Day: Have you ever felt like the author of this Psalm. It’s more than general gratitude; more than your standard appreciation. When was the last time you were about to burst with thankfulness? Well if it has been a while, I want to tell you what has been bursting my gratitude buttons as of late. I have been so appreciative of the way God has been working in and through the Cypress Creek Christian Church community. I took a little vacation following Christmas, and it gave me time to reflect and review. When things are busy, and one project leads into another, rarely do you take the time to appreciate what has happened. If anything, you focus on the mistakes or failures…and there were a few of those. Yet as I walked through my calendar and some pictures I had from the previous 12 months, I was shocked at what has been accomplished. God, by means of some amazingly faithful people, has done some breathtaking things at Cypress Creek Christian Church. More importantly, I believe what we’ve accomplished the last couple years has set the ground work for impactful spiritual growth. And when I say impactful, I see a community of people bringing the love first life to a wider and wider audience.
Prayer: I can’t thank you enough, O God who first loved us. I am thankful for all those who you love and the way you have called us together in service to the world. Amen.
