Surely there is a future, and your hope will not be cut off.
Thought for the Day: “When it comes to the future, there are three kinds of people: those who watch it happen, those who make it happen, and those who wonder what happened.” I don’t know who originally said those words, but they speak truth especially within institutional structures. I often picture the church scratching its head and wondering what happened to the 1950’s. Instead, we must remember we worship a God who brought a man back to life, not an era back to life. Surely there is a future, and God desires for the church to be a central part of its design – and not simply the one sucking the fumes as it races by.
Prayer: O Alpha and Omega, guide me so I can live more fully in the moment and help shape the future in your image. Amen.
