Every generous act of giving, with every perfect gift, is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.
Thought for the Day: Humanity desperately needs some leadership when it comes to a deep and abiding empathy for others. And from a Christian standpoint, I feel as if there have been some important opportunities missed. It was the Dalai Lama who reminded, not only those within his own Buddhist tradition, but all people of faith that “love and compassion are necessities, not luxuries. Without them humanity cannot survive.” People of all faith expressions, including those of us who follow Christ, must step forward and provide humanity the leadership for which it yearns.
Prayer: Wherever the opportunity might exist, Lord God, I desire to be your witness of love and compassion. Amen.
