Scripture: Isaiah 40:31
…but those who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.
Thought for the Day: How often do our daily activities tend to overtake us? So much to do, so many demands of us. We can wake up in the morning as tired as the night before. The writer of Ecclesiastes lamented that much of what we do is “a striving after wind.”
It can seem that way when we back away and take a fresh look at ourselves. In the larger picture, we are not the orchestrators and creators of the events in our lives. God is. When we allow God to control our lives, we get renewed strength for our daily tasks and very beings.
Prayer: Lord, we ask you for the wisdom to allow you to control our lives; to be still and know that you are God. Amen.
