Just so, I tell you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.
Thought for the Day: A changed attitude brings joy! Of course, joy is so much more than happiness. It is a deep and abiding relationship with God that draws together the broken pieces of life. It is the discovery of our God who chooses to walk with us no matter the circumstance. Yet the joy spoken of in this passage is the joy experienced by those who see someone else move into a marvelous relationship with God. Joy is contagious, spreading rapidly from one person to another. From there, it spreads to the very gates of heaven. As I live in a joyous attitude, it spreads to others, and as it spreads to others, it increases my joy.
Prayer: O God, may the joy I know become the joy my neighbor knows. And may the joy in my neighbor bring renewed joy to my life. Amen.
