Scripture: Matthew 23:12
All who exalt themselves will be humbled, and all who humble themselves will be exalted.
Thought for the Day: I was just reading the other day about Kate Middleton, the woman who married into British Royalty, yet she still likes to do her own grocery shopping and cooking. Witnessing little acts of humility raises something within the human soul. Someone quietly provides an act of grace, receiving no recognition whatsoever, and the world is better for it. That’s humility! For a number of years, I helped an individual anonymously provide care for his neighbor who otherwise would have been forced out of her home. It was an amazing act of generosity on his part, and no one knew how it happened. Humble acts are exalted just by their very nature, for they reflect the heart of the Exalted One.
Prayer: I give you thanks, O Father God, for all who have humbled themselves for the sake of the Gospel. I am blessed because of them, and though they never sought exaltation, you remembered them and brought them to your side. Amen.
