So if anyone is in Christ, there is a new creation: everything old has passed away; see, everything has become new!
Thought for the Day: A few years back, I had a guy ask me, “Where have you ever seen any sign that resurrection is true?” It caught me off guard, and I fumbled for an answer. I wish the words of Martin Luther, the Reformation Theologian, would have been known to me at the time. He said, “Our Lord has written the promise of resurrection, not in books alone, but in every leaf in springtime.” At the very core of the created order, we find death and rebirth, loss and renewal. Why should it surprise us that the One who was and is the spark behind this creation would also weave the truth of life over death into the created order itself?
Prayer: With every ending there is a beginning, and this spirit of renewal and rebirth finds its origin with you, O Lord. Grant me faithful vision to perceive and appreciate it. Amen.
