Thought for the Day: I was wanting to see what someone traditionally gave for a 41st anniversary. So many anniversaries have specific gifts assigned to them. One website suggested an appliance on the 4th anniversary, a desk set on the 7th, and a diamond on the 10th. I’ve never been accused of being overly romantic, but I’m guessing the appliance is not going to be well received on the 4th anniversary. Maybe on the 27th, but not on the 4th. Well yesterday was the 41st anniversary of Cypress Creek Christian Church. I feel bad as I didn’t get the church anything. Though looking up what gifts are traditionally associated with a 41st anniversary, I was surprised to see “Real Estate” as the most often suggested. I think Cypress Creek currently has enough real estate (unless someone is looking to gift us with some we can use toward paying down the debt), but maybe we can think of it in terms of making inroads into our community. We don’t want to own it, but we do wish to become more and more of a bless in areas around our community. Maybe your gift to Cypress Creek for its 41st anniversary would be to take some real estate, another block or two in your neighborhood, and bless it with God’s love and grace.
