Scripture: Romans 6:9
We know that Christ, being raised from the dead, will never die again; death no longer has dominion over him.
Thought for the Day: I wonder what it would be like if we lived life as if death had no dominion over us. So many unhealthy decisions are made by people who find themselves caught in the grip of death’s fear-inducing power. I’m not suggesting that people live a naive existence where mortality is completely ignored, but no matter a person’s situation, there is a lot of good living to do. Jesus wants us to have “…life, and have it abundantly.” In this Easter time, I want to encourage you to live your life in such a way that it invites others to live as if death no longer has dominion over them.
Prayer: We celebrate once again, O Lord, your victorious message of life and love in the face of darkness. Thank you for the freedom to be. Amen.
