Thought for the Day: A guy who was just a couple years ahead of me in High School died last week. I was reading his obituary, and the closing lines read: “In lieu of flowers, we ask you to take a moment and hug your spouse, partner, children, parents or those special to you.” Thanks for the reminder, Michael! For today’s devotional, I’ll leave it at that. Anything else will dilute the message.
Prayer: Holy Spirit, help me to make the decisions that will lead to justice, kindness and compassion. Thanks for those wonderful little reminders, even those found in an obituary. Amen.
