Ecclesiological Etchings

Scripture: Acts 18:22-23
When Paul had landed at Caesarea, he went up to Jerusalem and greeted the church, and then went down to Antioch. After spending some time there he departed and went from place to place through the region of Galatia and Phrygia, strengthening all the disciples.

Thought for the Day: Malcolm Muggeridge worked for the BBC when he was asked to take a film crew to India to see what was going on with some “do-gooder” named Mother Teresa. Those five days would change his life. As he later explained “Humankind will not be changed by being taught, but they will be changed by what is caught.” Muggeridge caught it from a carrier named Mother Teresa, and from then on he could not shake it. He became a carrier. Paul’s work was more than teaching. He invited people to become carriers of the Jesus-message, but what helped was that Paul’s life was infectious. Do you live a life that others want to catch?

Prayer: Spread your good news of grace, O Source of Love, and I will carry it and share it wherever I might go. Amen.
