Thought for the Day: For the last few days, and again today and tomorrow, our campus is buzzing with children. It is VBS week, and the children are having a great time. I could see some nervousness on the faces of a few the very first day, but by the end of the day, they were laughing and looking forward to the next day. There is so much work that goes into VBS, and Rev. Tami Nelson has done a marvelous job. I am also impressed by all the volunteers, including a dozen or so of our youth. The children are hearing a wonderful message, but equally important, they are encountering individuals who are bringing alive the love of God. In our current world, children need places where they feel safe, laugh a lot, where they hear that they are beautiful and wonderful, where a Bible verse is brought to life, and they get to eat fun snacks. God is good, and so are the people of Cypress Creek Christian Church!
Prayer: Thank you for your Spirit at work within our VBS. Thank you for your graciousness, Lord, and for the children who are able to hear about that gift within a joyful context. Amen.
