Scripture: John 1:9
The true light, which enlightens everyone, was coming into the world.
Thought for the Day: Pope Francis recently said in a sermon, “Grace is the amount of light in our souls, not knowledge nor reason.” How much light is in your soul? Have you pulled back the curtains of your inner-self to let the light of God enter? When the light of God truly makes it into our souls, even the dark corners are illuminated. Shadows exit; grace resides. Grace is that warm gift that not only changes us, but then begins to change others through the change that originated within us. Make sure you’re taking time each day to pull back the curtains of your inner-self for the light of God to enter.
Prayer: You are the light of the world, O Holy One of Grace, and I desire you to be the source of light within me. Come and reside! Come and bring your light so that grace may fill me. Amen.
