Thought for the Day: The phrase ‘get up and go’ appears more than fifteen times in the Bible. God is often telling people to get up from whatever they are doing and to go to a specific destination. On a few occasions it is to escape danger, but more often it is to accomplish God’s hope for the world. I’m getting up and going somewhere this morning. To be specific, I’m going to church to hear Chris Baker. I am going to get up and go to church so I can hear the story of one who heard God’s call to get up and go. Chris will be with us at each service, and you won’t want to miss his message. So to clarify: You need to get up and go to church this morning.
Prayer: O Lord of the Journey, give us the courage to accept your prodding toward faithfulness. Amen.
