In the early 1900’s, S. Matthews (theologian) wrote:
“If it is more blessed to give than to receive, then most of us are content to let the other fellow have the greater blessing.”
Not that it should be a competition, but how often do you reflect at the end of the day and say to yourself, ‘I got myself trounced in the giving department’?
