Scripture: Psalm 145:9
The Lord is good to all, and his compassion is over all that he has made.
Thought for the Day: A while back there was a demonstration in California in which a group of women were demanding their right to go topless on certain beaches. Now I don’t want to turn this into a forum for that topic, but I saw a man who was protesting against these women and he was holding a sign which read, “God hates you!” Wow! I can understand why someone might be very passionate in opposing a topless beach, but to make that kind of statement is very troubling. Though we may feel incredibly committed to a certain topic or issue, we must remember that our words and methods are always communicating our concept of God. The end never ever justifies the means. In fact, God is always made real in the means.
Prayer: Assist me each day, O God, so that my life clearly communicates your compassion for all the world. Amen.
