Scripture: Deuteronomy 32:1-2
Give ear, O heavens, and I will speak; let the earth hear the words of my mouth. May my teaching drop like the rain, my speech condense like the dew; like gentle rain on grass, like showers on new growth.
Thought for the Day: Yesterday I talked about trying to put something together without the instruction manual, but I also had a recent experience when the use of an instruction manual made me laugh. The very first page had written in big red letters: “Some Adult Assembly Required”. I think I know what was intended with those words, but all I could think about was how most of us–even those of us who are adults–are still a work in progress. Maybe not for you, but I am an adult who still requires some assembly. My hope is that God continues to assemble the disjointed and lost pieces of my life, so I more fully know the wholeness God intended from the beginning.
Prayer: Living God, allow your spirit to spill over me, bringing nourishment and growth to a life that remains in need of significant development. Amen.
