Thought for the Day: I’m excited about today! I am excited to be back in worship at Cypress Creek Christian Church. The last two Sundays I have gone to worship services in Alliance, Nebraska and Lincoln, Nebraska. Both of them were wonderful in their own way, and no matter where I am, I can almost always glean some word or insight or challenge from God. With that said, I’m excited to be back with my faith community. Though I must always remember that worship doesn’t really have a beginning time or an ending time. 8:15am, 9:30am and 11:00am are simply the times in which we are intentionally joining with the ongoing worship of God. For even if there wasn’t a scheduled worship service somewhere in the world, the creation itself would carry on for us. I hope you’re equally excited about joining the voices of praise, both human and non-human, who are celebrating God’s goodness and grace.
Prayer: Provide me a heart that appreciates your gift of love, O Lord, and a voice willing to publicly offer my gratitude. Amen.
