Thought for the Day: I recently came across a fascinating Haitian Proverb. It is rather simple and straight forward, but as I have reflected more upon it, I find its simplicity to be quite profound. It’s funny how that happens. The Proverb says, “Beyond the mountain is another mountain.” Too often we fall into the naive thinking that as long as we make it past this next difficult circumstance, life will be easy. Yet life is a series of challenging mountain expeditions. There will be many formidable situations. But for those who continue to move forward, they find strength through the One who invited them to take the first step.
Prayer: Life can present many daunting mountains, but you, Lord, have promised walk with us. For that reason, we can find you even in the most difficult moments. Thank you! Amen.
