Surely there is a future, and your hope will not be cut off.
Thought for the Day: Donna and I finally rented the movie, The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, and it was marvelous. With a cast that included Tom Wilkinson and Judi Dench, I didn’t expect anything less. One of the other characters, Sonny (played by the actor, Dev Patel, from the movie Slumdog Millionaire) offered some proverbial wisdom on more than one occasion. He would say, “Everything will be all right in the end… if it’s not all right then it’s not yet the end.” Those words would come to represent the characters in the movie who thought they had come to the end, only to discover that it wasn’t even close to the end. Hope allows us to see a future in everything, and as those who believe in eternity, there is always a future.
Prayer: Help me to see the possibilities in every moment, Lord God, possibilities to continue to find life and hope and joy. Amen.
