Scripture: Romans 1:1
Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, set apart for the gospel of God…
Thought for the Day: This Wednesday, I begin a four-week study entitled: A Journey From Saul to Paul (11:30am & 6:30pm). For this Apostle to the Gentiles, it was a not only a geographic journey to the ends of the earth, but a theological and spiritual pilgrimage of great distance. As Paul (originally Saul) stated here in his letter to the Romans, he was called to be an apostle. This invitation was usually used to beckon someone to a great banquet feast, and though Paul was called to be an apostle (one who is sent with a purpose), his purpose as an apostle was to invite others to share in the great banquet feast of divine love. How is God inviting us to embody the invitation to the great banquet feast of divine love?
Prayer: As you have fed me at the great banquet feast of your love, O Lord, may I invite others to taste the bounteous gift of your sustaining grace. Amen.

Looking forward to this study of Paul. Is there any background reading that would benefit our study?
NO, not for the first session. I’ll give a little homework for each of the following sessions.
