Scripture: Psalm 99:2-3
The Lord is great in Zion; he is exalted over all the peoples. Let them praise your great and awesome name. Holy is the Lord!
Thought for the Day: Yesterday was my son’s 10th birthday, and we had a little birthday gig prior to the gathering of the children’s choir. After loading up the kids on a sugar induced high, we sent them off to sing. God bless Karen, the choir director! Though let me say, their singing was fabulous…even joyful as only a thick layer of frosting can help to create. As I sat outside the choir room for a couple of minutes, I was thrilled to hear a dozen children singing songs of faith while having a wonderful time. If you asked the average child, do you wish to sing songs of faith and praise God’s name, they would probably give you a clear answer–NO! But what I heard yesterday was a group of young people growing in faith, sharing together, learning about Jesus, and giving praise to God…and loving it. Thanks, Karen!
Prayer: You give us so many reasons to praise your name, O Lord, and it is wonderful when giving you thanks is so much fun. Amen.
