Scripture: Romans 8:25
But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience.
Thought for the Day: I don’t wait patiently. I like to pretend I do, but I am a pacer and a checker and a finger drummer. And ever since I proposed the idea of doing a Blessing of the Animals and Stuffed Animals, I’ve been waiting rather impatiently for the day. Well…it has arrived. There are a lot of moving components and a lot of people involved, and I bet there are a few things we forgot. I’m anxious, but excited…and God has been a participant in the waiting and preparing, and I’m pretty confident that God will be very much a full contributor to what happens today. I hope you’ll come, but if not, please pray…for both the two and four-legged creatures that will share in this event.
Prayer: God, help me to celebrate the waiting and all that happens in that period between dreaming something and seeing that dream come to fruition. Amen.
