Thought for the Day: One of my all time favorite movie characters is Albus Dumbledore, the headmaster in the Harry Potter series. There are many memorable quotes assigned to him, but one of my favorites is, “It does not do to dwell on dreams and forget to live, remember that.” I don’t believe Dumbledore was suggesting that dreaming was a waste of time, but too often people live their entire lives believing that simply dreaming makes something happen. In doing so, they neglect the current moment where the hard work of dream-fulfilling begins. Dream big dreams, but as you are dreaming, begin shaping a path in the current moment that will take you to the place where the dream comes to fruition.
Prayer: Help me to dream your dream, O Lord, and then to see that dream come alive through what I say and do. Amen.
