Scripture: Psalm 146:5
Happy are those whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the Lord their God…
Thought for the Day: In our stewardship program this year, we are creating a bucket list of those things we’d like to see happen. Maybe it feels like wishful thinking or a far fetched fantasy, but if discernment is our process and a passionate resolved begins to grow, what might have been described as a pipe dream may begin to take shape in the here and now. The place where Cypress Creek Christian Church was just 24 months ago in no way resembles where it is today. This is a different place, but it remains in motion as it faithfully moves toward God’s greater hope. The passage reads, “Happy are those…” The word happy in the ancient Hebrew comes from the word which means to walk straight or make progress. We shall make progress toward God’s dream, assuming we find our help – and – place our hope in the Lord God.
Prayer: We shall build your kingdom, O Lord. We shall share your good news, O King of Kings. We shall fulfill your hope for all creation, O Merciful God. Amen.
