Scripture: Colossians 3:1-3
So if you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth, for you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.
Thought for the Day: Last night, my family and I were watching the movie, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. I really enjoy the movie, and early in the story Indiana Jones is teaching one of his classes at the university when he says, “Archaeology is the search for fact… not truth. If it’s truth you’re looking for, Dr. Tyree’s philosophy class is right down the hall.” There are times when facts are necessary in pursuing a specific goal, but there are other times when truth is communicated in spite of facts. As people of faith, we seek those things that do not necessarily fit in categories that are verifiable…that’s the reason we call it faith. Though let’s remember, both are important pursuits!
Prayer: May the faith I claim be a faith that is based in you, O Lord, the One that science will probably never prove. Amen.
