Make a joyful noise to the LORD, all the earth; break forth into joyous song and sing praises!
Thought for the Day: I’m excited! Now I don’t break forth in a joyous song like the old TV series Fame, which of course, included complete strangers knowing the choreography and perfect harmonies. With that said, I feel a song of praise in my heart as I think about all the amazing happenings within our congregation. We have new people visiting almost every week, and many of them are choosing to make Cypress Creek their home. It is exciting! And of course, we are watching the principal amount on our mortgage (remember, we’ve had a continuous mortgage for 40+ years) go down at a pretty good clip. In fact, our monthly payment hit a big milestone last month – that’s when more of our monthly payment started going to principal than goes to interest. That’s about five years ahead of where we would be had we not been prepaying principal. And now I’m looking to next year where we are hoping to put more energy around our growing children’s program, continuing our growth in outreach giving, and building on our excellence in worship. I’m excited, and I hope that you are equally excited!
Prayer: For all that is happening, I turn to you with a joyful song, O Lord. You are the source of all good things, and your Spirit inspires us to participate in the building of your kingdom here in the Spring area. Amen.
