Scripture: Hebrews 13:16
Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God.
Thought for the Day: To neglect something could mean that we did so intentionally or unintentionally. We could do so deliberately or inadvertently. To do so accidentally sounds better than on purpose, but the result is still the same. When we read the words, “do not neglect,” we are being called upon to be aware and attentive…aware of the world around us and attentive to our motives. When we are aware and attentive, we’ll be more likely to act with goodness and share generously.
Prayer: God of Vision, open my eyes and my heart to the world around me. Amen.
