Thought for the Day: The Good News Translation of the Bible has this verse referencing those who follow the example of good people. There are some people who can survey the landscape of life, determine the pitfalls and dangerous curves, and then carefully navigate the path. …and then there are the rest of us. We need guides, trailblazers who leave us roadmaps, and rescue teams who can pull us out of the same hole we fall into each time we come this way. When we pray for good examples, let us also pray for both wisdom and humility so that we recognize these gifts from God and are willing to follow their lead.
