Scripture: John 12:24-25
Very truly, I tell you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains just a single grain; but if it dies, it bears much fruit. Those who love their life lose it, and those who hate their life in this world will keep it for eternal life.
Thought for the Day: How does the death of one bring life? It doesn’t make a lot of sense, but then we look to the message of an empty tomb, and we discover that it sounds a little like nonsense. Let us be infused with life as we discover the stories of those who have given their lives in the faith, and when we have the chance to give sacrificially, let us be mindful of the life contained therein.
Prayer: Holy Lord, in your giving, I know life. In my giving, seeds of life are planted. Nourish them with your grace so they may flourish. Amen.
